Başakşehir, one of the newest residential areas in Istanbul, is characterized by intensive mass housing applications. To the north of the district is Arnavutköy; to the northeast is Eyüpsultan; to the east are Sultangazi and Esenler; to the south are Bağcılar, Küçükçekmece, and Avcılar; and to the west is Esenyurt.
The population of our Başakşehir district is 509,915.
